Multiple subversion management systems are supported by PyCharm. By handling many versions simultaneously, this functionality helps to improve the code base. For setting up and running a version control system, you need to follow the steps given below.

Step 1: Initializing the version control system is crucial for getting it off to a systematic start. For various version control systems, PyCharm offers a variety of choices. Select Enable Version Control Integration under the VCS menu.

Step 2: Choose from the version that you want to integrate. Select subversion in case of subversion control integration, select from the other two options otherwise. 

Step 3: Any PyCharm project where the default project and virtual environment are set up should also have version control system management set up. Git, for instance, contains some of its configurations but also includes .gitignore files that are ignored during commit operations. You may check for the following settings of the Version Control in the Settings.

GitHub Configuration in PyCharm

PyCharm has settings for configuring GitHub repositories. You get three options, first is to Log In via GitHub, second is to Log In with Token, and third is Log In to GitHub Enterprise. 

You can further sign in to your GitHub repository and add it here by entering the username or email id along with your password.
