PowerPoint has a left-hand side bar which has two very useful views. These views are ideal for reviewing and editing slides. The side bar is visible in Normal view and is set to the Slides tab by default.
Slides Tab
This tab displays all of the slides in a vertically stacked order. This page allows you to pick individual slides as well as do operations like modifying slide layouts, reordering slides, inserting new slides, and removing slides. Although you cannot alter the contents of the slide from this tab, you can pick the slide and make changes from the slide on the right.
Outline Tab
This is the tab right next to the Slides tab, and it offers the outline for the slide, as the name implies. This section only shows the textual material of each slide; it can be particularly beneficial if the slide contains a lot of non-text content and evaluating just the written portion becomes tough. Unlike the slides tab, this part allows you to change the text.
If you need more viewing space, click the X in the top right corner of the sidebar to close it. You can simply click on the Normal view icon to restore the sidebar.
