Inkscape

Inkscape is a free and open-source image editor. It's primarily used to make and edit SVG images. It creates visuals based on a formula or code that can be resized up or down without compromising image quality. It does, however, employ SVG graphics for vector design, although it can also import raster drawings. We may use it to open and edit images that are based on raster graphics.

It usually only accepts vector-based file formats; however, it can also output PNG and PDF files. It also can transfer the document in code forms like HTML and animation formats like SIF. It doesn't include a lot of editing filters and effects, but it does have a lot of useful drawing and graphics capabilities.

It's usually used as a substitute for Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw, both paid programs that don't work with Linux. Inkscape is a cross-platform program that may be downloaded free of charge under the GPL (General Public License).

It's great for logos, icons, conceptual art, and animated pictures, but it's not great for actual photo editing or intricate images.

Let's have a look at some of Inkscape's most useful features:

  • Fabrication and manipulation of high-quality objects
  • Fill and Stroke are both fantastic
  • Paths are straightforward to use
  • Supports for text
