DML Statements

DML statements are an essential component of database interaction since databases are a large part of our daily life. Each activity that we perform throughout the day has some component of the database affiliated with it. Browsing through web pages, connecting to e-commerce websites, and even booking a doctor's appointment. All these have a database, which has to be accessed to provide data to the user. These indirect user-database interactions are possible due to a specialized coding that allows data to be inserted into, modified, or deleted from the database and that is where the DML statements come into the picture. DML stands for Data Manipulation Language, It is a SQL language that is used to retrieve and manipulate data. You can use these statements to do things like add new rows, update and delete existing rows, merge tables, and so on.
