5. A REVOLUTIONARY WORLD   CUP BALL

1. VIDEO ASSISTANT REFEREE (VAR)

This footage is fed to a central location, where a team of officials can review it.

VAR comprises several cameras, including slow & ultra-slow motion ones, placed around the pitch's perimeter.

This helps avoid controversial decisions that could affect the match's outcome.

If the referee on the field makes an incorrect decision, the VAR team can review the footage and alert the referee.

2. SEMI-AUTOMATED OFFSIDE TECH

A highly accurate system that uses sensors & cameras to determine if a player is in an offside position

This is relayed to the officials, who decide whether a goal should be awarded.

3. GOAL-LINE TECHNOLOGY

Football uses goal-line technology to determine whether the ball crossed the line &, therefore, whether a goal has been scored while eliminating human error.

It improves the fairness & accuracy of the game.

A signal indicating a goal has been scored is sent to the referee if the ball crosses the goal line.

The system consists of a special camera set behind the goal & takes images of the ball moving in that direction.

4. FIFA PLAYER APP

The FIFA Player App will allow players to access their player-performance data shortly after each match

Including:

->Enhanced Football Data Metrics ->Physical Performance Metrics ->Enhanced Football Intelligence Metrics

Additionally, multiple action shots of the key moments will be made available.

This data is synced with match footage to enable players to watch their key performance moments in detail & from different angles.

5. A REVOLUTIONARY WORLD CUP BALL

The Qatar FIFA World Cup ball for 2022 is a ground-breaking new technology used for the first time in a World Cup. The new semi-automated offside system will work in conjunction with this technology.

The connected ball tech implemented on the game ball will send this data to VAR officials.

The ball's center contains a motion sensor & the new Adidas Suspension System, which captures real-time data.

Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is essential for implementing such innovative technology
