I am a person who is interested in art and technology and believe in continuous learning. I have spent over 25 years in IT playing different roles like software developer, tech lead, delivery lead, and software development manager.
Before joining the PG program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, I was managing production and project support for software products in the banking domain.
Having a very busy schedule I was not very sure about completing the course and giving justice to it. Multiple conversations with the GL team helped me to gain confidence that it can be possible by spending a couple of hours in a day and a few more on weekends. My excellent track record and flexible learning timings made me choose GL as my course provider. It was very convenient learning online from home.
Mentored learning is the best part of this program. This refreshes all the topics you have learned in the week. This helps to clear all your queries or difficulties by asking direct questions to the mentor on those topics. I found the mentors very open to the questions and tries to answer and explain till you are satisfied. These weekly sessions are conducted in a small groups of 8 to 10 and hence you get personal attention.
Mentors helped me to strengthen my understanding of many basic concepts in ML, AI, and DL. This helped me to implement the projects on the respected modules and the capstone project.
I found that mentors had actual industry touch and I got an idea of how the learned knowledge fit in the real world.
I successfully implemented the capstone project within a specified time. That was a challenge as well as fun! This gave me confidence that I can build my model for a given problem.
If one can spend 15 to 20 hours a week, it is possible to achieve the expected from this program. This program builds a foundation. Continuous learning is a key to future growth.
