I am Shraddha Mehta, and I am currently a student at Pace University, New York, pursuing MS in Accounting and Data Analytics. Prior to joining the PGP Data Science and Business Analytics, I was a management accountant at a media company called Dentsu Aegis in Bangalore.
My biggest challenge before joining this program was that I had no coding background, and I was nervous about whether I would be able to get through a year of technical learning. I chose Great Learning after doing a lot of research and taking the opinions of people in the field of education.
I really liked the fact that it was not just a crash course but a well-structured program that got advanced as it progressed. The mini-projects at the end of each module were a great way of learning the practical applicability of all that was taught. The mentoring sessions at the end of each week were a good revision with our personal mentors. I not only learned Python but also discovered an immense interest in tools like Tableau and SQL.
This program has been instrumental for me in doing better at my current master’s degree and in landing me a job at an Audit Analytics team at a Big4 in New York.
I would also like to mention the very supportive and helpful team at Great Learning. My program manager understood my concerns regarding working in a different time zone as I had moved out of India halfway through the program. She tried to accommodate my requests and supported me in the successful completion of this program. I am grateful for Great Learning!
