This is Vijayanarayanan B. I completed Computer Science and Engineering in 2016. I started as a Java Developer @ Capgemini, and later moved to Infosys and currently am working with Altimetrik as a Senior Engineer holding a total of 5.6 years experience. I was developing Java Web applications for various clients. The biggest challenge I have faced is I won’t stand out of the box in my team. Very few people will do that, and they get attention and appreciation too. Sometimes I feel low about my strength and tech knowledge.
It’s kind of a coincidence. I was interested in learning Machine Learning when I saw “Great Learning” on YouTube. I checked the reviews on the glass door and Google, and then I decided to choose the PGP Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
I had apprehensions while studying AI paper in my college due to complex algorithms and concepts. Here, those concepts have been explained very easily through case studies.
The mentoring sessions are very useful and helpful for my better understanding of the concepts.
The online mentoring sessions are fabulous! They are a masterpiece. All my mentors supported me constantly in the entire journey in the way of clearing doubts, explaining the concepts, and equally taking the points from everyone. More than that, they are very patient and knowledgeable.
Well, I have a different plan, especially trying to get the ML project in my current company to feel the real-time exposure.
Sometimes you find it very hard to understand the concepts, especially those from a non-IT background, but don’t feel bad. Though I’m from a Computer science background, still I felt a little bit tough to understand at the initial stage. Later my mentor helped me a lot & a lot to understand the concept. My mentor advised me to practice it while finishing each concept. That has helped me a lot. So, Rome can’t be built in one day. It needs constant effort and enthusiasm. Wish u all the best in your courses.
