I am Sanjay Maurya, an ardent learner and a Software Engineer having experience in backend development, automation, data engineering, cloud engineering, and limited experience in DevOps.
I have close to eight years of work experience, and for the last few years, I have been working closely with some of the biggest telecom and automobile companies. Currently, I am working with one of the top industry leaders in the automobile industry and managing the most significant customers and sales data set.
For some time, I was looking to learn niche skills to move from a traditional programming language to something more interesting and exciting. That is where I came across the machine learning and artificial intelligence course online.
Although I started my journey in the printing and packaging field based on artificial intelligence concepts, I could not pursue that path due to a lack of knowledge and experience. Later I went through some articles and webinars to understand career opportunities and was convinced that the artificial intelligence and machine learning field could be the right choice for what I should make my next move in.
I have also implemented my learning in one of the problem areas of our platform, where the business needs to find potential leads which can be turned into a customer (with a vision of turning one-time visitors into lifetime customers) and increase customer retention by transforming the ownership experience for service departments and OEMs and also by increasing customer satisfaction while boosting dealer revenue and profitability.
This whole process was earlier manual and quite error-prone. I identified this as an opportunity to apply some of my machine learning concepts and get them automated fully. I came up with a solution that could identify the best model based on given historical data set and perform predictions by learning from the historical load.
I used hyperparameter tuning and achieved an R2 score of more than 90%, which was much better than the manual predictive system being worked upon by a team of 5-6 members. Despite having limited AI/ML opportunities available on my platform, the model I introduced has proven to be a great success for our organization.
