I am Gaurav Rajeshrao Tadas. I am 32 years old. I completed a Master’s in Computer Applications from Amravati University in 2013 with a 7.23 CGPA. Now, I have more than 8 years of IT experience. I performed various roles in my career as a trainee, system engineer, and senior system engineer and now working as a Technology Analyst in Infosys Limited.
I have diverse experience in java programming, MS Visio prototype making, and application designing, and for the last two years, I have been leading a team of five members who are responsible for infrastructural-related activities. It also includes environment setup (DB setup, OCP, as well as traditional setup).
A few Software Tools that I am well aware of are Docker, Kubernetes, and Containers. I am responsible for making development, staging, and pre-production environment. Up and running and troubleshooting issues arising in infrastructure.
Before I took up this amazing course of PGP in CC, I was working as Technology Analyst in Infosys Ltd. Pune Location.
Before joining this program, I did not have a clear vision of how modern days cloud computing works. Now, I got much more clarity on DevOps, Containers, Cloud infrastructure, and AWS Managed Services. I am very eager to grasp these skills and achieve challenges.
I am very much clear that I have to join the online cloud and DevOps-related program for IT professionals. In addition, from online media, I got to know that Great Learning offered these types of programs. After thorough research and R&D, I decided to do the course with Great Learning, mainly because of the good reviews and feedback that a few of my friends and colleagues shared.
To talk about the mentoring sessions offered: These sessions are very important because after going through the online course materials and tutor videos, we as a learner come up with many questions and doubts and these sessions provide a platform to address them.
The quality is good, and the afternoon sessions are quite relaxing. My batch is very active.
To talk about the mentor’s role: The mentor’s teaching style and experience/knowledge on a certain topic make sessions interesting to learn new things. And most of the GL mentors are knowledgeable. They are ready to address learners’ queries every time.
I am yet to achieve my ultimate goal behind joining this GL program, and my goal is to gain knowledge of cutting-edge technologies like cloud computing and, based on it, acquire a good position in a well-reputed company as a Cloud DevOps Engineer.
Through my experience so far, I would like to advise the learners to go through materials before the mentor session and complete assignments on time. If the topics are not clear, feel free to go back and understand them. In addition, cloud computing is a futuristic technology, and it is very much suitable for today’s IT Infrastructure environment. So, it is a must to learn technology.
