Table of contents

I am currently working as Head-of Strategic Projects in the retail/manufacturing domain for a renowned company in Srilanka. I have done Btech in Industrial Engineering, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certified.

Challenges before joining the course were the Reduction of the Raw material Leftover cost by 50 % – From $15mn to $7mn. Challenges always excite me as they bring out my best potential. And the reasons for choosing Great Learning were –

  1. Industry Leaders
  2. Highly Skilled & Reputed Faculty
  3. Case Study-based Mentorship
  4. Projects
  5. Hackathons
  6. Networking

The online medium was more flexible for me, being a professional where I can access it at my convenience. The Mentoring sessions in the PGP AIML course are very good as they are taught by highly experienced mentors working in the industry. The quality of the mentoring sessions on 1st half till recommendation systems was not that appealing. Deep Learning mentoring sessions were very good – Credit to Mr. Arun. He helped clarify the doubts and how well we can implement them in our profession, where mentor support is excellent

Through these newly learned skill sets, I am able to reduce the supply chain cost by using machine learning, EDA, BI tools & Python, which are able to do with newly learned skill sets.

Advice to the new people would be that – Analytics is an upcoming stream that requires every organization to make strategic decisions. Great learning is the best platform to learn and contribute towards bigger problem solving, creating a positive impact for an organization.
