Currently, I am working as java and big data engineer at Impetus Technology solutions. I have 2.5 years of experience in the IT industry with experience in GCP, DevOps, Jenkins, Linux, Hadoop, and strong command of data structures and algorithms. I was working as a java and bigquery developer at cognizant technology solutions.

Before joining this program, I had faced challenges in coding concepts. The data structure part was quite confusing for me. I started working on that stuff every day, and now I am getting better at understanding the concepts, which is indeed helping me in learning Machine Learning Algorithms more efficiently.

I didn’t think of joining a PGP AIML program that is self-paced and which is going to be conducted online. But looking at the curriculum, faculties, and my urge to learn more and upskill in the AI and ML field helped me do this. I prepared myself mentally for more work and commitment.

The mentoring sessions are the key part of it. The sessions help us understand the use case and case studies more efficiently. It helps us clear why we are doing what we are doing and what could be an even better approach.

The mentoring sessions are quite helpful. The mentor covers every single case study with utmost clarity, and long explanations—The mentor clears all the doubts that we have during the sessions. What I like most about the mentoring sessions are the case studies. Case studies help us understand the business use case and help us apply the ML techniques as per the use case.

I have learned a lot during this learning phase, still have a long way to go. The analysis skills are quite improved. I have learned a new language(Python) which is most important in terms of AI and ML.

I would say we would have to push ourselves harder to upskill. Sometimes we won’t want to do it but remember that we started it to upskill and learn more. It will certainly get uncomfortable, but growth only happens in such a phase. Just don’t think or stress out. Just do it.
