Tell us about your professional background.
I have been in the Analytics field for around 11 years now. I did my research across various platforms such as my office network, and online. When I came across the program by Great Learning, I found the course to be comprehensive and took it up. After one year, I can say that it has helped me in my career. I’m able to implement my learnings in my job.
Why did you choose to upskill?
In the corporate world, leadership always looks for newer technologies. We were working with predictive modelling, but when the words AIML came into the picture, everyone wanted to move into the Machine Learning field. When new technologies come into the corporate world, it becomes imperative that we learn it and implement it in our careers. Without ML, the Analytics field is just like a movie without audio.
What did you like the most about our PGP-AIML course?
Assignments were one of the best aspects of the course. Even during our Engineering days, we had assignments, but they were conducted periodically. Here at Great Learning, assignments were conducted after every module. As a student, this helped in making sure that we remember the concepts clearly and stay focused on them. Whether we are busy with other tasks or not, we have to make time for completing the assignments and projects. This was very impressive. Taking up a hands-on project helps us gain confidence in what we have learned. The case-studies were helpful as well. It took me back to my school days and kept me motivated. The mentor sessions were fantastic.
Advice to future AIML aspirants.
I have taken up other courses as well, such as IIT Madras’, which was a two-week course. At Great Learning, the courses are planned in such a way that it is clear to understand the concepts and topics. If you’re interested in Analytics, you must take up this course. It will be helpful for you. If you are from a different domain, I would suggest you learn some basic concepts about Analytics because it becomes easier to understand the topics well.
