The journey was not easy, but Great Learning’s planning was perfect – Aditya Datta Charan, PGP DSBA

Table of contents

I am an Application Engineer and working for Saipem India Projects Pvt.Ltd. In the oil & gas sector, to be a specific application engineer it was very difficult as technologies update and make the work simpler, therefore, sustaining in the same role or improvement is very tough. After this PG program, I got thought that in the oil & gas engineering domain, with the help of the program, I can excel in sales.

Since I was already an application engineer before joining the Data Science program, things were a little bit in favor of me. But the journey of Data Science was long and not easy. I learned statistics in 10th class but refreshing those things was mandatory before starting the classes. From revising the basics of Statistics to the algorithms of Machine Learning, all were taught, and respective assignments were given so that we can use those learnings in assignments.

Honestly speaking, all the factors (mentor sessions, program schedule, curriculum) at Great Learning have helped me without any trouble, especially their planning is perfect. The topics or mentoring session, everything is pretty right and makes it interesting for every session.

I would also appreciate my mentor, Sathish, because although the sessions would last for so long, he always continued delivering the topics with interest. With my newly acquired skill set, I can change my approach to seeing different business problems.
