Tell us about your professional background.

I have completed my MBA in 2016, and am currently working as an Analyst at TCS. My role in TCS demanded me to learn more about machine learning and data science concepts. Hence, I decided to upskill.

Why Great Learning?

The course concepts covered at Great Learning, the mentor support, the assignments, the case studies, and industry lectures were not available in other courses in the market. This was the main reason that I decided to choose Great Learning. The course was structured in a way that it pushed me to focus on my learning and complete all the assignments. This suited my style of work and ensured that I don’t fall behind when compared to my peers. I was able to apply the course concepts in my career.

Did you have any transition after GL?

I was able to transition to a different job role within my company.

Why did you choose to upskill?

My main motive to upskill was because my current job role required me to learn analytical skills. I also feel that data science has a bright future.

What did you like the most about the course?

I cannot pinpoint one single thing, as there are several things that I enjoyed about the PGP-DSBA program. The first would be that it was a classroom program. It was very nostalgic to attend a classroom program as it took me back to my school days, and this felt great. The mentor support was great. We were encouraged to ask questions and were able to learn through this process. I was motivated to ask a lot of questions. Another great thing is the industry sessions and getting to gain knowledge from the industry leaders. The capstone project put us in a different dimension altogether. There was a lot of work to be done on the datasets to arrive at a result, and this helped with the practical implementation of concepts.
