I have recently completed the PGP DSE course from Great Learning, Gurgaon. It was a wonderful, life-changing experience which was full of learning something new every day.
It gave me a career transition and I successfully shifted from the profession of Teaching to the world of Analytics.
Something I’ve learned in life is that your favorite quotes and sayings can sometimes become principles to live by. So here is one, they say, “You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.”
Here’s to that, I was quite satisfied with what I was doing, being a teacher made me habitual of finding the answers to the questions. Being a curious person I have always thrived to find for the answers to everything that arises in my head, so what can be better than moving from solving basic and some complex queries to solving complex business problems! So, I was drawn towards this field of analytics and joined this course.
Initially, they set a base by teaching you the tools used like MySQL, Python, Tableau and then they develop your area of thinking by introducing you to EDA and Machine Learning, everything was very interesting and makes you feel to dive deep into the worlds of wonder and opens various ways of thinking.
At Great Learning, I got the opportunity to learn from some of the best faculties of the industry itself like Mr. Sayan Dey and Mr. Mahesh Anand. At Great Learning , We were not only limited to the technical support but we were also provided with the Career Preparation Sessions to help us develop how to put forth ourself as well as the technicals we had learnt. Biggest support provided by Ms Mishthy, Ms. Ankita, Mr. Vikas Bhansali, Ms Ajita during the tough times of interviews. They have really supported me to their best in providing me all the material required and made sure to guide me very well on the areas I needed to work upon. With their support I was able to crack interviews at Neilsen as well as with ZS Associates.
It wouldn’t have been possible without their support. Thanks to all the team members to help me achieve this career transition, from being a teacher to becoming Business Technology Analyst at ZS Associate.
