I am Abhishek Galagali. I have come from Mumbai. I have done my Bachelors from SIES GST, Nerul. I have been working in the IT industry for 4 years in the data domain with job roles like Data Engineer and Data Scientist. I was working with Capgemini as a data engineer. My responsibility was to build data pipelines to perform data integration and migration.
I was very interested in doing PGP-AIML Online and data science projects. To some extent, I was able to learn Python by myself. However, I couldn’t apply those skills in AI/ML. I felt confused with a lot of open-source material being available but not having the knowledge to apply it. At GL, there was a structured approach to learning which I needed to develop my skill set. Some problems were the unavailability of myself for some of the online training sessions, but it was reassuring that recorded sessions could be later attended. Thanks to mentored learning sessions, I was able to understand the applications of AI/ML in the real world. The quality was very good as highly experienced mentors would give us insights into various industries and how they were impacted by AI/ML.
Our mentor would usually share some interesting developments on Email/Whatsapp, which further helped us to understand the material. He would share live examples of well-known companies to further deepen his knowledge.
Through this newly learned skill set, I have successfully transitioned into a full-time data scientist in the Healthcare domain. And to the new aspirants, I would just like to say that it is a great step to upskill yourself. Please enjoy this transformational journey.
