My name is Saikarran MK and I’ve completed my undergraduate studies in BCom at Loyola College. Currently, I am working as a data scientist professional. Before joining the program, I was searching for the right opportunity to pursue my passion for data science. I researched various courses and ultimately chose Great Learning.

When I first inquired about the program, the Learning Consultant gave me the confidence to proceed. Despite financial concerns, I took the risk in order to reap the rewards.
In addition to the courses, it’s important for everyone to have a mentor for guidance. Great Learning provided me with professionals who were facing real-life business problems and offering solutions to their companies. This is the epitome of “the right person at the right time” for mentorship.
I eagerly awaited each module’s review session, as it provided extra steps to reach my goals faster and stay up-to-date with market trends. Our mentor served as the leader of the group, directing us toward our goals. In our batch, we even had a “doubt-asking competition” to ensure that our mentor sessions would not be cut short.
During my time at Great Learning, I acquired in-demand skills such as Python, machine learning, deployment models, and data visualization tools like Tableau and BI.
My advice to those just starting their journey in learning analytics is to follow your heart. Data science and business analytics are relatively new fields with tough competition, but with time and practice, you can overcome any obstacle. If your passion is analytics, then my three mantras are learning, acquiring, and implementing, with patience and perseverance.
