Personal- I am Kamini Sahu and I am basically from Raipur (C.G.), after marriage shifted to Gurgaon, I am a mom to 2.5 years old kid
Professional- I completed my BE (ECE) in 2012, M.Tech (Power Electronics) in 2016, post that I had 2 years of working experience in sales.
In March, 2021, I enrolled for the PDGDSBA program. I had a career gap of almost 4 years since I got married and became a mom.
My biggest challenge was career transition since I had a career gap and my previous experience was into sales. Earlier, I had that feeling how career transition would be possible doing this course, and whether I would successfully get the job in the analytics field.
I came to know from the internet regarding this platform, my husband had the idea of this field, so had done proper research about Great Learning from some alumni. I chose an online medium since I had a small child to look after, plus, it was COVID that was prevailing when I joined this course.
They were really good sessions since there were many new learnings. In every session we had the opportunity to get our concepts cleared. My mentor was extremely good as apart from the concepts he also used to share his life experiences which were deeply motivating.
I had successfully achieved my goal and had a career transition as I aspired. Now, I am working in the domain of my choice and doing what I absolutely love all because of the skill set acquired from this program.
Currently I am working as a Business Analyst in a US Healthcare company. Yes, the course is still helping me because the basics I learnt from Great Learning, although, personally I would say that the course helps you in building theoretical knowledge, but practical knowledge is learnt after joining any industry.
Great Learning is guiding many to have a career transition. The mentors are really good, program managers are supportive, the curriculum is made according to working professionals. I am very thankful to Great Learning for the platform it provided to me.
