Being a science student, I have completed my Master’s Degree in Physics from Swami Vivekanand Subharti University, Meerut. In addition, jumping into experimenting with my knowledge professionally. Therefore, I started my career with a University in Uttarakhand, where I have joined as an Academic Associate. After working for over 2 years as an Academic Associate, I again moved to an Edtech company as a Public Relationship Officer and worked for a year. Then, I joined Jaipuria Institute of Management as an Executive under the Media and Marketing department, and from the last 2 years, I have been learning and growing every day in the company. In addition, as of now, I have an overall 5 years of experience in the Education Sector.
Before joining the PG program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at Great Learning, I was a working professional and a Post Graduate in Physics Stream. I was struggling for my career direction, as I was not able to identify the best field for me to experiment with my skills. Then, I came across the Great Learning PG AIML course advertisement on social media. This was when I decided to get into this course and give my career a direction in which I can showcase my pre and post-learned skills and techniques. In addition, I will enhance my professional background progressively.
I chose the Great Learning platform because it gave me that career direction and support which I was looking for for the last 3 – 4 years. And as far as apprehensions are concerned, I did not feel anything like this about online learning. In fact, during this pandemic, online learning is a revolution that we all agree on. It’s a New Normal.
Well, I must say, the online learning sessions at Great Learning are great. And the sessions are really important as the mentors here provide us with complete support and a great level of comfort to interact hassle-free. The mentored learning sessions are the main reason why great learning is known for its quality product. These mentored learning sessions throughout my PG AIML course journey at great learning gave me a vast knowledge about the field that I am always keen to know about. The support provided by our mentor Mr. Thanish Batcha, and course coordinator, Mr. Partish Kalyani, was exceptional. With the help of these mentor sessions, from being a very new beginner in this field, I am now able to build my projects and models on different business problem topics using my analytical skills and some model-building techniques.
My suggestion to the coming aspirants is that they should attend these sessions on priority because being in the session gives you more clarity about the topic if you have gone through the pre-recorded videos before joining the session.
There is yet another suggestion for those who skip the pre-recorded videos before the session, and it is that they can learn about the topic from the session and then go through the pre-recorded videos and clarify their doubts during the next session. It is simply the “Online Great Learning Platform.”
While studying this PG AIML Course at Great Learning, I learned about different algorithms and analytical skills. I came to know about lots of model-building techniques—types of learning in Data Science and Machine Learning. Then I learned about Deep Learning in detail. These are excellent skills, which I know will be useful for my career and can help me build a better professional career ahead.
Working in data science, or acquiring data science skills, does not rely on a degree or traditional career pathway. It is a combination of non-traditional learning with the right skills and experience. But the difficulty of learning data science depends on your background. If the aspirant is a complete beginner, then they may struggle at the beginning and have to give enough time and extra effort to match up to the pace, but If they are already aware of some part of it, they can easily make it.
At Great Learning, the mentors and the program coordinators are exceptionally supportive that anyone can start and pile up their skills in the field.
At last, I can only say that if you want to learn great, then learn with Great Learning.
