The gist is, every step taken to switch my career to something exciting was fetching no fruitful results just like a Naïve Bayes algorithm on a Regression data. That’s when the GL flier for the PGP DSBA program struck me, it mentioned “The Sexiest Job of the 21st century…”. It was kind of a “Red Pill or Blue Pill” moment for me, to use the reference from the movie Matrix, and I am glad I chose wisely.
Although I did perform some initial EDA about Great Learning, the prospects and the course offerings it was more of a formality so to speak. I remember, I had asked my program manager during joining whether the gap years will affect my employability after completion of the course. She said, “If you’ll give your 100% to this course it won’t.” The course was one great joyride with highs and lows, bends and turns. The faculty, the instructors and the mentors at GL are some of the best I have ever met. They push you to your limits and force you to produce your best. Consequently, I got the job offer before even the course Certificates were out.
I am Ashokkumar Anugonda, working as an ML Scientist in DhiOmics Analytics. This is my story of how I turned my career from an Outlier to a valuable Datapoint with GL. And believe me I’m just one such datapoint there are many others like me in the sample.
Thanks Great Learning, it was a Great Learning experience indeed.
