What motivated you to look for a program in this field?

In 2018-2020 I was the program manager of a large yearlong AWS cloud migration project. The project was completed successfully and I learned a great deal in a short time but I wanted to deepen my technical knowledge of could computing. I started looking for a program that would offer hands-on learning opportunities. I enjoy my role as a project manager and I’m not looking to become a cloud architect or engineer but the knowledge that I’ve learned from this course makes me a much more effective Cloud Program manager who can speak the language of both my technical teams as well as executive-level business teams.

What role did the program play in your journey?

The program has offered the hands-on deep technical learning and interactive experience that I was seeking and has also broadened my knowledge of all of the top cloud providers’ services and prepared me to sit for certifications.

What was your experience with the mentors & mentored learning sessions?

The mentored learning sessions were the game-changing component in my opinion because each expert mentor helped solidify the knowledge gained during self-paced studying between sessions. Each mentor was passionate about sharing their knowledge and industry experiences. The sessions were informal enough to allow participants to chat and ask questions which were very helpful.

What were your favorite parts about the curriculum?

My favorite parts about the curriculum were the AWS hands-on projects and mentored learning sessions.

Can you briefly describe an exciting project you worked on and how did it help you?

The projects that I enjoyed the most were the AWS labs completed during the initial introductory classes. The labs helped establish a solid learning foundation that we were then able to build upon.  I must say that the learning experience could’ve been better if the labs were glitch-free.
