I am an academician/researcher by profession holding 15 years of academic experience in teaching students of electronics & communication engineering. I also have 8 years of research experience in the field of embedded system design. In addition to various subjects of electronics engineering, I teach machine learning and deep learning subjects as well. To enhance my subject expertise, I joined this master’s program on AIML at Great Learning. Before Great Learning, I was working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, B.M.S College of Engineering, Bangalore.
My biggest challenge was related to Time management between the work front and completing the projects and learning materials of the course. Initially, it was tough, but gradually I could combat this challenge.
As the name is given, Great Learning is a great platform for AIML and Data Science programs I had heard about through my friends and colleagues. Initially, I did have a few apprehensions for an online program like this, but in the course of time, with the quality and standard of course materials, recorded videos, weekend classes, and systematic program execution, I could come over rather could build confidence.
Mentored learning sessions were all good. But, more than weekend live sessions, I made use of the recorded videos of experienced professors and professionals. I have majorly followed recordings of Mr. Rajiv, which were excellent. His explanations were with conceptual clarity and examples of industrial applications, informative and worth following.
As I did my capstone project on Natural Language Processing, the mentor was really helpful, and the mentoring sessions were also good.
A newly learned skill set enables me to teach the subjects more convincingly. I supervise Ph.D. students researching this domain, and I also have guided many AI-based projects and published technical papers.
In this new era of the AI revolution, acquiring an AIML skill set is a must. So I would like to advise the aspiring candidates to avail this opportunity and join GreatLearning offering PG program on AIML in collaboration with UT Austin. I urge them to sincerely carry out this course which will drive them in the correct direction.
