I come from a non-tech background with no prior knowledge of language programming or tools. I had done my Bachelors in Hospital Management and MBA in Health Care Services and got into various job roles considered based on the management platform. I joined my first job in 2013 and the second, which is ongoing in 2016. I am working as a Senior Executive in Medical Administration & Clinica Ops, my present role in Medanta the Medicity Hospital, Gurgaon. Formerly I held the position of Assistant Manager, HR, which was my first job role in Jeevana Care Hospital.
The biggest professional challenge was a lack of growth in my field. I have a total experience of 6years but struggled for a satisfactory platform which my current roles were not able to provide. And apart, I was looking for something challenging to do a task or a role that I feel a non-tech platform would have never provided. All these concluded me in research for a transition, and the search began from there.
I was keen to learn, and my search for the right platform landed me into the field of Data Science, where I have gone through its vast aspects, success, growth, the path. Lastly, I felt what I was searching for, it is the right platform, and without a second thought, I decided to go for this, and I preferred choosing the DSBA program from the best ranked University Great Lakes. I also came to know the success stories of Great Lakes, so it motivated me overall.
Initially, I was confused. Deciding the transition was a big deal for me being a non-tech, but eventually, all overcome within a few sessions. The online sessions seemingly went smooth, and I was able to go with the pace.
There should be a balance for everything, and I was a working professional, so yeah, I had to put in efforts, but I must say the support from all the mentors, and even the videos which are being shared are too particular and specific, the study materials, codebooks articulated all in a set which is the best one can use it for clarifying all self-doubts. I am always thankful to our mentors who made my concepts clear, and I was able to go ahead. Those have been the best live sessions where I had the opportunity to deal with all my doubts; I had hands-on which was the best part for me.
Mentoring sessions have always been useful and beneficial for me. Whatever I have learned so far, those sessions of doubt clearing had a great contribution. I am especially thankful to Mr. Sarvesh and Mr. Uday for their effort to make all the sessions easy and interactive following their concepts. I was able to find the program more interesting and understanding.
Presently, I have got a career transition, and my role is Data Analyst, where I wish to use my skill sets learned from the DSBA program and get myself upgraded and updated seamlessly.
If you are really looking out for transition and have a keen interest in learning and growth at the same time, this platform is the right one, but prior, one needs to be mentally settled for a year of commitment to this program. I assure you the end will definitely be colorful, which turned out for me. I recommend getting enrolled and starting the journey. Any hard work always pays off!.
