I had been learning AI & ML in bits and pieces from another learning forum. The idea of “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning” was sparked from my team discussion in the innovation meeting by seeing Google’s “Tulip flower” solution. I have two decades of experience in plant automation with industrial automation systems and MES systems. My professional qualification is B.Tech – Information Technology with an MBA from Loyola Institute of Business studies. Currently, I am working with Automobile OEM as IT Head.
The learning process with Great Learning was an interesting challenge for me, and I realized that there was an exponential growth of passion in the subject with a systematic, practical-oriented, concept-driven learning framework in Great Learning. My learning was not a systematic one, and I struggled to ensemble the fragments into a single thread of skill-set.
I came out of the incubation period of learning and started exploring various options to apply a new skill set. I am in the journey of rolling out “Proof of concept” with Chatbot development in my IT service portfolio with ML and NLP, which will be providing an appropriate response to end customer’s queries in no time. I strongly believe that the solution that we are planning to roll out will eliminate unnecessary mail exchanges for IT service-related queries – huge man-hours savings for my team in doing the transient jobs. My team can invest those hours in developing a new innovative idea that can yield direct or indirect benefits to the organization. Finally, multi-folded customer satisfaction will be achieved, and that is primarily the goal.
I could understand and actively participate in all “Connected vehicle” training sessions and could compete for some open positions in those advanced technological areas. The new skill – AI / ML could give me an edge over others in the interviews for higher roles in IT.
To all those who aspire to work in this industry, my advice would be to stand high in this competitive world. Learning advanced technology with concept-centric deep study can put you at the top of the race.
