I did my BTech (IT) in 2020. My initial plan after college was to go for higher studies, but then COVID-19 happened.
I decided to defer my higher studies for a year but also didn’t want to sit idle. I looked for an online Data Science course to get a boost for my higher studies. After searching many different courses on the internet, I selected Great Learning. I wanted to opt for a small 3/4-month course, but the plan offered by GL in Data Science and Business Analytics was of 11 months. At first, I wasn’t so sure about it, but after a lot of thinking, I decided to go with it.
After a couple of months into the course, my plan to go for higher studies changed to what’s I need to go for higher studies.
I was simply amazed by the content provided in the course and not just for me but for anyone who doesn’t have any prior knowledge about Data Science or any coding languages.
After completion of 60% of the course, I was eligible for applying to different jobs, and the placement assistance was also there. Trust me when I tell you that the list of companies to apply to daily is much better and superior to most of the colleges in India. In Great Learning, after applying for a job, the placement team will assist in getting the best out of us.
The whole experience in this program was awesome, and all thanks to Mr. Dinesh, my mentor, for helping me with my loads of queries. By the completion of 80% of the course, I got placed into TheMathCompany as an Analyst. Being my first job, this was one of the happiest moments of my life.
In a nutshell, the whole course is a ride which any Data Enthusiastic must go for. It’s an incredible journey where one would be able to get loads of hands-on experience and learn so many different types of skills which one can’t imagine.
