I am working as a data analyst at PwC. I started learning this course of data science and business analytics in February 2021. Before that, I worked in different domains – as a teacher, then became a travel agent, a customer care executive, and even worked in an HR consultancy firm. However, different domains would not have landed me in a future-oriented and long-term job role. Hence, I wanted something concrete that I could rely on.
Choosing Great Learning’s PGP DSBA was not any difficult for me because I was going through YouTube one day and saw an advertisement, and then there was no turning back. I had no apprehensions as such. However, I started working in PwC towards the end of the course, and then it was difficult for me to manage everything, but self-management was easy to mitigate these issues.
I really have enjoyed and learned a lot many things staying in this course. I would really like to thank Madhu Kiran, our mentor from the start of the course, and Arun, our Program Manager, who helped us a lot every time. Everything from quizzes to practice projects, mentor sessions to resume building had helped in some or the other way in the journey. My mentor was always available to guide me in the course, even when I wanted some help in my practice and overall understanding of the course.
At the end of the program, I can affirm that I know how to write a data science model, SQL queries, and anything which was covered in the course. All this would be really helpful throughout my life. My main focus at the moment is to get into data science or data analysis roles, which will improve my future.
This is a good course. Anyone can learn, no specific technical skills are required, and hence it is something any enthusiast should try. I have already referred a few people to this course.
