“My advice to beginners taking up analytics is to be more hands-on trying different problem statements…”, says Bharathi Kumarraja, an alumnus of the PGP Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Course. Read further to learn more about her journey with Great Learning.
I work for Bank of America as an architect. I have a Bachelors’s degree in Mathematics and Masters’s in Computer Science. My interest in mathematics and application of AI ML in Banking & Finance motivated me to try to learn AI and ML through a dedicated channel. Due to the popularity and success rate of prior learners in GL took up the PGPAIML course in Great Lakes.
The course is very elaborate, with a lot of assessments. Though at times I felt difficult, overall, these tough assessments helped me to gain more confidence. The Capstone project in specific is an excellent journey of the practical application of CNN concepts. We, as a team, had brainstorming discussions for ideas with the mentoring team. We were able to approach the problem statement with a simple solution to the most complex architecture. It helped us to evaluate various models, and it’s pros/cons. I am very confident in taking practical problems at my work with the capstone experience.
My advice to beginners taking up analytics is to be more hands-on trying different problem statements, assessments and participate in hackathons to excel in the application of AI ML concepts.
