I live in Mumbai with my family, with my wife and kids who are 12 & 9 years. I work for Mondelez International – Cadbury as Global Technology Lead, Supply Chain Planning. My core background is in supply chain operations and digital transformation programs over the past 17 years.
Prior to joining the course, I was setting up a transformation program in supply chain, leveraging new age technologies. Also accountable for ongoing global rollouts.
I think the opportunity data science offers to change the world is growing enormously. Traditional ERP’s do not provide as much business value. I was challenged to upgrade my understanding in this area. I really had to do something about it.
One of my office colleagues recommended Great Learning to me. I checked online and the course was ranked no. 1 in India. The curriculum is solid and relevant. I did not have apprehensions once I spoke to people at Great Learning. A very important aspect, teachers like Animesh make the content interesting by sharing how they apply to industry and break the complex topic in parts. They are well prepared and use time effectively.
The quality of the mentoring sessions is top notch. There is sufficient time for Q&A. Also the mentor also shows the approach to Python hands on. Both my mentors Animesh and Devanshi played an important role to increase my understanding. Their industry experience with clients and knowledge in data science helped us to understand end to end. They were accessible and helpful.
I believe nothing is impossible. I now more clearly see the possibilities data science offers. Lastly, I can clearly see the skills and mindset required to excel in this area, ensuring these skills are present in transformation program teams. It’s very important to structurally learn about data science. Ad hoc learning is not holistic and you would not be confident. Great Learning is a great way to learn and excel.
