I work in the cyber security infrastructure space. I suggest and help enterprise customers secure their network and cloud with security tools. Before I joined the AIML PG program, and even now, I worked as a consultant and support for clients to help manage and secure their network, applications, etc
After 5 plus years in this field, I felt there was saturation in terms of repeated products and overlapping of technologies in the security space. And I started looking to upskill myself and consider a career transition. And, online medium felt more like a workaround and crash course. I wanted something personal, a learning platform that would help me understand the concepts deeply and thoroughly. Great Learning, with its reputation and well-drafted course, gave me a sense of security that at the end of it, I will complete mastery in the AI/ML space.
These mentoring sessions are important as they are live sessions and a great platform to discuss queries and doubts. The mentored learning sessions are good and give you a complete recap of whatever you have learned in the previous week. Plus, the case studies help you put the concepts to use. The mentor gives their best every session and tries to resolve all the queries as best as they can. So far, I think the mentor has supported me well.
As this is just the beginning, though, I have started to be more confident as far as coding is concerned and understanding the core of AI/ML is concerned. I am now in a state where I can relate to many daily life problems/situations where AI/ML can be used to either analyze data or make a prediction.
Advice to the new aspirants would be that- It can feel a bit overwhelming at the start, but keep doing a bit daily, and you will find yourself in a better place towards understanding these concepts.
