I am an IT professional with 10 years of experience in Siebel CRM administration and support having worked in Telecom, Retail as well as Banking domains. I have played developer, tester as well as administrative roles. I am leading a team of 16 people at my organization as a tech lead for Siebel CRM administration. I wanted to learn data science to make a career switch and wanted to move to a high growth career track.
The biggest professional challenge was in terms of career growth. I felt my growth was getting stagnant in my current role with very little to learn every day. Things got repetitive. Also the technology I was working in, was dying its natural death, hence there was insecurity with respect to the future in the same role. It was not a good feeling to have, to say the least, not being able to move ahead in your career never is. I felt stagnated and stuck in my career.
I have been able to apply the tips, tricks and techniques that I had learned as part of PGP-DSBA into my organization. I was able to automate the Rejected order classification using various supervised and unsupervised ML techniques I learned. The entire rejected order orchestration was automated and lead to tremendous time savings. I definitely gained a lot
of visibility in my organization from my managers to delivery heads to even unit heads started to recognize my work and my efforts in the area of ML. This really helped me gain credibility and popularity in my organization. I am really thankful to the PGP DSBA course for this.

I would say the world of analytics is very vast. There is so much to learn.
