Tell us about your professional background.
I am an engineering and MBA graduate with more than 12 years of diversified experience. I am currently working as a Lead Data Scientist in an online marketplace.
Why did you choose to upskill? Why Great Learning?
I decided to take up an analytics program after working in the Analytics field for 6 months. I was enjoying the work and had good business domain knowledge but realised that I could improve my skill set. So, the need of the hour was for me to take up the course and match the skills of my peers. One of the main reasons I chose to join Great Learning was the curriculum. The course content covers business as well as technical aspects. It also teaches us the practical applications of our learnings. A few of my friends also recommended the PGP- BABI.
What did you like the most about the PGP- BABI program?
One thing that I loved about the experience was peer-to-peer learning. All the learners were from different leadership backgrounds. Getting to interact with them was a great learning experience. I was able to interact with them during group discussions and assignments. Another great aspect was the faculty.
Advice for future PGP- BABI aspirants.
For people who want to get into analytics should focus on learning statistics, structured problem solving and domain understanding. I strongly believe this program has all ingredients to enrich in these areas. Apart from this, continuous hands-on projects in real time problems will help in align you in analytical life cycle and help you to showcase to potential employers too.
