I am a Mechanical Engineer with a master’s degree in Renewable Energy and with 11 years of professional experience. I was and still currently working in a needle manufacturing company based out of Chennai.
I was very apprehensive about the world of coding and programming. Learning Python, Tableau, R, SQL has alleviated my fear of software and programming. I did opt for a data science and business analytics classroom course but was forced to adapt to the online medium and have been comfortable ever since. The assurance of the program manager and the mentors gave us the confidence to complete the course successfully. The mentors gave us confidence and were part of Whatsapp groups and available throughout the course. Just being there behind our back and doubt clearing gave us the much-needed confidence in these trying pandemic times.
The mentors were highly knowledgeable in their respective fields and gave us good real-time examples of the context of the problems that we were asked to solve. Just the confidence and the belief that they had in us was good enough for our success in the completion of the program.
We were able to generate good insights through python graphs tableau and do our budget allocation through time-series forecasting models. A passion for an analytical approach towards solving everyday problems is good enough. Continuously learning and rediscovering your own self will pave the way for your future better than you had ever imagined. That includes concepts, applications, case studies and also includes learning about your own self.
