First of all, I would like to thank Great Learning Team for boosting me to achieve my tremendous goal of Career Transition, because of which, I landed upon the new job role as the Senior Data Analyst in a Global Conglomerate Company.
I am Adaikala Jaya Mary, presently working at Tata Consultancy Services Limited with an outstanding experience of over five years in Banking and Financial service, especially in the Data Analytics domain and Azure cloud migration. As the entire Business unit is transforming into Automation and Cloud, my curiosity to learn new technologies started when our organization implemented a collaborative social learning platform that provides an interactive environment for improved learning outcomes.
Throughout these five years, I have been working in Enterprise Distributed Production Server Management & Batch Processing Job Analytics, have been actively engaged in BFS Client User Profile data & Network Operations Analytics and Enterprise Data Migration to Onedrive and Serverless computing architecture in Client Banking Production environment. I’ve come across multiple critical automated tasks which reduce human intervention productively and have resulted in the best business outcomes.
Having said that, focusing on one technology endlessly drove me listless and mundane. Fortunately, a question that kept me alive: ‘Are you still passionate about the job that no longer enhances your career?’ The answer was a ‘DEFINITE NO.’ Consequently, self-analysis and self-assessment helped me to possess in-demand skills which the companies demand. I figured out that I needed a Career Transition.
During this lockdown period, I made up my mind to polish my career aspirations, and I definitely believed that Great Learning would definitely act as the helping hand to climb the career transition ladder effectively. The main factor which inspired me to apply for PGP in AI&ML is to equip myself for shaping the future.
Mentored Learning sessions at Great Learning turned out to be the best career enhancement feature throughout my entire learning journey. These sessions helped me to strengthen my programming skills. It gave me a boost of confidence to dive deep into the AIML domain. Mentors were dedicated individually to the group of students. They trained us to build a solid foundation from scratch and brought out immersive, hands-on experience in multiple real-time projects.
It is really empowering to have experienced mentors who provide a very different perspective on the career roadmap. My mentor always highlighted the major interview questions and assisted me in honing both technical & soft skills. For the Capstone Project, which is the crucial component of the course curriculum, our mentor paved the way to build a great team and helped us to establish rapport with the project teammates, who were from different career backgrounds. They coordinated us to exchange our innovative ideas to implement better solutions together. I have to say, interaction with the mentors actually gave me the opportunity to benchmark my leadership skills.
I got a very vibrant atmosphere at Great Learning, which helped me to balance both, advanced learning program and office work from day one. It provided me the best resources to learn and great career assistance.
I firmly believe that one should have the Dare to Dream and Learn to Excel.
