I am working as a Sales and Marketing Officer in Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (M.D) in West Bengal. I have around 8+ years of valuable experience in the Sales & Marketing field, which is a data-centric one. We need tons of data to pre-process, process and finally, come to the main point for our future action and implementation on the field. Due to such data dependency work, I chose the DSBA program from the Great Learning. After initial interaction with my program manager, I didn’t have any second thoughts and immediately enrolled in the program.
In LPG, a new distributor feasibility study is based on the population census and the available refill potential of the customers. We had a long deliberation on how to choose our new LPG distributor locations using the data available over the internet and refill potential calculations based on per-capita consumption.
My team then used Linear Regression, Time series forecasting, and RFM methods to come across a methodology wherein, for each state, each district, and each block wise, refill potential and new distributor feasibility can be found out by the field force. Accordingly, then our field force drilled down to the last mile, and we were able to complete the job in no time. My learning in the DSBA program really helped me to explain to my peers with confidence, and it improved my self-learning growth.
I sincerely thank Great Learning for such a wonderful time-paced learning program where we are bound to learn concepts in a time-bound manner. The program also makes us aware of our time management skills along with the enhancement of business analytics. The program guides, mentors, and, last but not least, the program managers are so interactive and well-versed in their respective knowledge that it has left an amazing experience in my mind.
