I am a Telecom professional with 18yrs of experience in this industry. From an education perspective, I have done my MBA from IIM Kozhikode and BE from Mumbai University.
In February 2020, just after completing a two-year MBA from IIM Kozhikode, I continued my educational Learning and studies by joining PGP in AI-ML here in great lakes. Being in the techie industry, I had a milestone to upgrade myself to the latest technology developments, and one of them was Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This was my career milestone, too, and I would not compromise just for the sake of getting a certification. Right Learning is more important and for that right gurukul is important as well. And I researched a lot to find out that great Learning was the right gurukul for this Learning. Perceived to be expensive while joining compared to a lot of available similar courses from new online modes. However, we know from mythological stories and history that learning from gurukul next to your teacher helps us focussed and determined to get the right sense of the Learning so that we can apply the same in our future actions and help build a modern society and serve them. Gradually you help not only yourself but also the community/society in building the economy. Great Learning is no less than a gurukul.
Speaking about Great Learning Gurukul, I have achieved more value than I have spent. This is because of the institute’s teaching faculty, with a huge industry experience background updated with the latest trends. The professors were highly skilled in imparting their knowledge, posting us informed on new trends, and helped us apply the latest ways of solving common/generic problems through the AI-ML course. The best part was Sh.Krishnav Dave, principal data scientist. The kind of projects given to us for each course module was a self-evaluating industry project that helped us apply the Learning.
They have excellent professors Sh. Sayan Dey, Sh. Mukesh Rao, Sh. Rajeev Kumar each having their unique ways of imparting their knowledge. I doubt such mentors are available elsewhere. I would specially thank the program managers Priya Bohra and Jayakanthan PU for the way they handled the pandemic situation. To my surprise, they have done excellent work in meeting up with the student’s course expectations. I would say the outcome was more than expected as I completed my course in September 2021. They scheduled additional hours for the content we demanded so that we have much more insights on that module.
They were approachable for individual students who missed out on the module or schedule for justified reasons so that they too could cope up with others and do not miss any learning steps of the ladder. All concepts were modeled correctly and ensured justified hours and sessions. There is a lot of additional online stuff from great Learning to help shape the content knowledge whenever you find stuck somewhere during projects or assignments. Also was able to apply the same in various analytics problems in various platforms. Overall a 10/10 certification program! I am fortunate and thankful for this institute in adding a valuable milestone in my career, looking forward to more such courses from great lakes.
Additionally, there is placement support for new learners, and I have seen many job posts with excellent pay packages appearing in their portal and also receiving the same in my email.
