Introduction To Recursion

Great Learning brings you this live session on “Introduction To Recursion". In this session, you will first understand the concept of Recursion. You will also understand what are the different steps involved in recursion and one by one we will understand them. Then you will also learn about different types of recursion starting with Tail and Non-Tail recursion. Then moving to Direct and In-Direct recursion.

Once you have a thorough understanding of recursion we will talk about its space and time complexity. Then we will talk about two simple examples and understand the concept of activation records and how recursion internally uses a stack data structure. Finally we will understand different algorithms which can be solved easily using recursion like traversals ( inorder, preorder and postorder) and try to solve it first using iteration and the recursion and then understand the difference in terms of implementation.
